The Goals of the Solution

  • The Goals of the Solution:

The aim of the project is to systematically and comprehensively cover the issue of elimination of natural and contaminating inhibitory substances (IS) by dairy cows, event. goats, in these ways:

    1. to define the functional status of animals with different IS excretion dynamics (natural and contaminating, in particular residues of veterinary drugs (VD)
    2. to identify the factors affecting excretion of IS, especially VD, in milk
    3. to assess the suitability of selected methods for detection of VD in milk with regard to milk quality and food chain safety
    4. to develop and validate new rapid detection methods of natural IS and determine its inhibitory potential and its effects on milk
    5. to propose measures to reduce the presence of VD residues in milk
  • Keywords:

dairy cows; goats; milk; composition; technological quality; health of animals; metabolism; lactoferrin; lysozyme; veterinary drugs; residues of inhibitory substances, methods of detection; food safety chain
