Plagiarism
Occurrence of AI-generated text in the qualification thesis
If a text generated by AI is part of the qualification thesis, it must be marked as a citation, including the source (URL including complete prompting).
If it is proven that the qualification thesis contains passages that are the product of artificial intelligence, without being clearly distinguished from the original text (similar to the case of direct or indirect citations of literature), it is viewed in the same way as plagiarism, i.e. as unethical behavior with all potential disciplinary consequences, including expulsion from studies.
In the case of a successful defense and subsequent proof of unauthorized use of artificial intelligence in the qualification work, the student is at risk of having his/her degree revoked.
USB in České Budějovice has tools that can be used to determine with a high probability that a text is a product of artificial intelligence.
Declaration of the use/non-use of artificial intelligence tools
In the case of the use of artificial intelligence tools, the student, according to Rector's ordinance R567, shall state the following declaration:
- In the preparation of this qualification thesis, the author has used [TITLE OF TOOL / SERVICE] for the purpose of [REASON]. After using this tool/service, the author has reviewed and edited the content as necessary and assumes full responsibility for the content of [TYPE OF WORK]
If the student did not use artificial intelligence tools in the preparation of the qualification thesis, the student, according to Rector's ordinance R567, shall state the following declaration:
- When preparing this qualification thesis, the author did not use artificial intelligence tools
