Erasmus Student Network

ESN USB Budweis is a non-profit and volunteer-based student organization whose purpose is to support international students during their studies at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. It was created in 2019 when the International Student Club of the University of South Bohemia (ISC USB), which had been active since 2007, became a member of the Erasmus Student Network – the largest European non-profit student organization.
ESN USB Budweis plays an important role in helping exchange students integrate into Czech student life and the local cultural environment. Throughout the academic year, it offers a wide range of activities, services, and events designed to make the stay of international students easier and more enjoyable.
Mentor Program
The core activity of ESN USB Budweis is the Mentor Program. Local students volunteer as mentors to:
- assist with organizational matters and necessary paperwork (e.g. student cards, public transport passes),
- provide support with accommodation at university dormitories,
- pick up international students upon arrival at the airport, train, or bus station,
- offer advice on leisure activities and everyday life in České Budějovice.
Social and Cultural Activities
In addition to practical support, ESN USB Budweis organizes numerous social, cultural, and recreational events each academic year. These activities give international students opportunities to meet new people, experience Czech traditions, and become part of the local community.
