University of South Bohemia in the KreativEU Alliance

Since 2025, the University of South Bohemia has been a member of the European university alliance KreativEU (Knowledge & Creativity European University). This alliance was created within the European Universities Initiative, supported by the European Union, with the aim of connecting European universities in the fields of education, research, innovation, and culture.

Main Focus of the KreativEU Alliance

The alliance focuses on linking cultural heritage with modern technologies and innovations. Its goal is to create an environment for the exchange of knowledge and experience among universities, to support the mobility of students and staff, and to develop joint educational and research activities.

Key Activities of the Alliance

Within the alliance, the following activities can be developed:

  • Joint study programmes: Creation of joint or double degree programmes focused on cultural heritage, innovation, and sustainability.
  • Research projects: Collaboration on international research projects within programmes such as Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe.
  • Student and staff mobility: Support for mobility between partner institutions.
  • Innovation in education: Development of new methods and tools in education with a focus on cultural heritage and its modern interpretation.

It is also possible to participate in conferences, summer schools, walking seminars, and hackathons. Colleagues may also join working groups according to their interests—AI and sustainability, legal aspects of alliances, evaluator of Seed projects/student competitions, etc.

The involvement of the University of South Bohemia in the KreativEU alliance brings new opportunities for international cooperation in education, research, and innovation. The Faculty of Agriculture and Technology has committed to actively participating in the alliance's activities. This commitment means that the faculty must demonstrably develop cooperation with the alliance’s international partners in the areas of education, research, and application activities that correspond thematically to the alliance’s focus—cultural heritage, innovation, and sustainability.
