Grading System at the USB

The basic forms of the study assessment are:

  • zápočet = course credit = without examination (written test, essay, semester project, ... )
  • zkouška = an oral/written examination
  • kolokvium = a colloquium
  • souborná postupová zkouška = comprehensive advancemnet examination
  • státní zkouška = state final examination
The examination marks correspond with the ECTS credit system:

A an excelent performance 1 výborně 90-100% excelent
B an above average performance
(minor mistakes)		 1.5 výborně mínus 80-89% very good
C an above average performance
(some notable errors)		 2 velmi dobře 70-79% good
D an average performance 2.5 velmi dobře mínus 60-69% satisfactory
E a performance meet the minimum criteria 3 dobře 50-59% passed
F a performance does not meet the minimum criteria 4 nedostatečně 0-49% failed
