Incoming mobilities

There are several programmes and scholarships which you can apply for and spend a semester or two at our faculty. Just click on the following links and get the information you need.

The International Student Club

The Erasmus Student Network (USB Budweis)

The Erasmus Student Network Budweis (USB Budweis) helps all foreign incoming students with their first steps in České Budějovice. The club brings together international students and their buddies from the Czech Republic.

Erasmus+

Mobility selection

If you wish to study at our Faculty of Agriculture and Technology at USB under the Erasmus+ programme

  • check if your home faculty and our faculty have a billateral agreement under the Erasmus+ programme;
  • ask your home coordinators about the selection and nomination process at your home institution.

Nomination

Your home coordinator has to nominate you officially by sending an e-mail to the our faculty Erasmus coordinator This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The email should content the following information:

  • name of student,
  • date of birth,
  • sending Institution,
  • field of study (chosen subjects),
  • period of stay,
  • student´s email address.

When we recieve the nomination, we will send you an information e-mail with the web link to your online application.

Online Application

Click on the web link which you will receive in the information e-mail and fill in the application.


Within that online application, you can also apply for:

  • an accommodation in the University Dormitories (more info here) - choose YES/NO;
  • a participation in the pre-semestral Orientation Week (if YES, just tick the field).

After submitting the on-line application you will have to send the application documents listed bellow by e-mail to the our faculty erasmus coordinator This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Application Documents

Here is a list of application documents which you need to arrange and send by e-mail after submitting the online application:

  1. learning agreement (LA)
    • use preferably your university’s form, if required, or you can download it here
    • write into the LA the courses you would like to attend during your Erasmus stay and discuss your choice with the coordinator at your home university. You can choose from the Course Catalogue.
    • get your LA signed by your coordinator at your home university and then send it to the USB Faculty Erasmus+ coordinator by e-mail
  2. your photo in a passport size
  3. scan of your passport
  4. scan of your Health Insurance European Card or other Health Insurance Certificate
  5. contact details of a family member or relative, who can be contacted in case of emergency

Those 5 application documents have to be scanned and sent by e-mail to the our faculty Erasmus+ coordinator This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. no later than the set deadlines (see bellow).

Acceptance Letter

When your learning agreement is approved and signed by both sides, our faculty Erasmus+ coordinator will send you an acceptance letter.

Form nominations and applications:

  • winter semester: 31st May
  • summer semester: 30th November

CEEPUS

Central European Exchange Program for University Students was designed to increase student mobility in the Central European region and to enable teachers to travel to partner universities in order to deliver lectures and offer courses in their areas of specialization.

Our faculty is involved in three CEEPUS nets:

  1. Engineering as Communication Language in Europe
  2. Agriculture and Environment in the 21st Century - @groen
  3. Sustainable Development of the Bioeconomy – Management of Sustainable Agricultural Production

VISA

Faculty of Agriculture and Technology will provide assistance related to Visa application process. The Czech Republic is a member of EU and belongs to Schengen space. Students have to apply for Schengen VISA.

Arrival

After your arrival you have to:

  1. register at our faculty Foreign Affairs Office
  2. if you are from a non EU country, to register at the Foreign police office
  3. get  the university ID card or ISIC card
  4. open a Czech bank account
  5. buy a Czech mobile phone number
