Modern environmentally sustainable beekeeping

Application ends: 07. August 2026

The lifelong learning course focuses on modern and environmentally sustainable beekeeping. It addresses the issue of excessive use of synthetic acaricides against the mite *Varroa destructor*, which leave residues in honey, wax, and other bee products, negatively affecting bees, other beneficial insects, and humans. The growing resistance of the mite also leads to higher doses of treatments and further wax contamination. Part of the solution is the introduction of a closed-loop wax system, ensuring full control over wax purity and reducing contamination, especially in imported wax.
