An author from FAT USB contributed to a new publication on corn cultivation for practice

A new book titled "Corn", created by a wide team of authors led by Ing. Jan Pazdera, Ph.D. from KWS OSIVA, s.r.o., was officially launched at Mendel University in Brno. The book covers 224 pages, the publication provides a comprehensive overview of all aspects of corn cultivation, nutrition, and utilization. The expert content is enriched with color illustrations, charts, and tables, making the book a practical guide not only for professionals but also for students and the general public.

Among the contributors was Prof. Ing. Tomáš Lošák, Ph.D., a professor at the Department of Agroecosystems, Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, University of South Bohemia. Under his leadership, the chapter titled “Principles of Nutrition and Fertilization of Corn” was prepared, reflecting the latest knowledge in agrochemistry and plant nutrition.

The book is also available in the academic library of the University of South Bohemia and serves as a valuable resource for both study and practice.
