The Goals of the Solution
-
The Goals of the Solution:The purposes of Subprogram II. are fulfilled with the objectives of the project. The aim of the project is to identify and isolate the mycovirus in honey fungus of genus Armillaria and its potential use in the biological control of spruce stands against honey fungus. Another objective is to test mycovirus efficacy in both laboratory and field experiments. Furthemore the populations of Armillaria using molecular and genetic methods and their correlation with virus will be tested.
