The Goals of the Solution

• The Goals of the Solution:

  The aim of the project is proved the impact of different methods of housing and feeding of selected feed additives on the performance (live weight, average daily gain) and calf health status (immune status, diarrheal diseases, pharmaceuticals consumption - especially antibiotics) during the milk nutrition period. As a whole, improvements in the health status of calves (reduction in the frequency of diarrheal diseases), increase in welfare levels and calf biosecurity in the milk nutrition period can be expected; it will also improve farm economics and reduce the presence of residues of inhibiting substances (pharmaceuticals, antibiotics) in the food chain.
