The Goals of the Solution

  • The Goals of the Solution:
The project aims to develop a new generation of recombinant enzymes for the pharmaceutical industry that will enable the efficient synthesis of nucleoside analogues – key substances used in the production of antiviral and oncological drugs. The project will result in a verified technology for the production of enzymes which, thanks to their properties, will enable a significant reduction in the production costs of target pharmaceutical substances, improve their purity, and increase the yield of the process. The project will result in several functional samples of these enzymes, which will be tested in laboratory and semi-industrial conditions, as well as two verified technologies and methodological procedures for evaluating the vitality of production strains of bacteria. The aim of this project is the comprehensive transformation and adaptation of enzyme production technology developed in laboratories to the level of pilot production. This process involves the systematic optimization of production procedures necessary to ensure high yields of enzymes and maximum enzymatic activity. The project will involve thorough verification of enzyme isolation methods with the aim of achieving high purity and functionality of enzyme preparations, which are key to their subsequent applications. The project falls within the DEEP TECH area of Biotechnology and Advanced Technologies in Healthcare, specifically in the sub-area of Biotechnological Preparation and Production of Substances.
