Students Receive Certificates for Advanced Hunting Examinations

Hunting has long been a traditional part of the curriculum at the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (FAT USB). The course is taught over two semesters and involves both academic staff and experienced professionals from hunting practice.
By successfully completing the course, students obtain the Advanced Hunting Examination Certificate, which represents the highest level of hunting education in the Czech Republic. In addition to gaining professional knowledge, students develop an understanding of hunting ethics, wildlife and landscape management, and the importance of preserving hunting traditions.
The ceremonial presentation of certificates took place on 22 June 2026. The event opened with the sound of traditional hunting horns, creating a festive atmosphere and highlighting the rich traditions of Czech hunting culture. The graduates received their certificates of successful completion, followed by a ceremonial toast in recognition of the students' dedication and the commitment of the lecturers and professional instructors who contributed to the course.
The informal part of the programme gave participants the opportunity to test their shooting skills using the faculty's newly acquired virtual shooting simulator, which has expanded the practical training facilities available for hunting education.
We congratulate all graduates on their achievement and wish them every success in their future professional careers.
Good hunting!
