FZT JU Showcases Modern Agriculture and Research at AGRISHOW 2026
From April 12 to 15, 2026, the Brno Exhibition Centre became a meeting point for modern agriculture and forestry. Trade fairs under the joint name AGRISHOW attracted more than 800 companies from 17 countries and filled nearly 60,000 m² of exhibition space. Visitors had the opportunity to explore not only the latest technologies, but also practical demonstrations of machinery and the results of Czech breeders’ work.
The Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (FAT USB) was also part of the exhibition. We presented modern farming approaches, particularly the use of new technologies, such as smart systems and digital tools. Our stand attracted both the general public and professionals interested in innovation, study opportunities, and collaboration.
An important part of our participation was the Smart Farm project program. This initiative focuses on how to farm more efficiently and in an environmentally friendly way using modern technologies. The program was divided into thematic days, during which visitors could learn more about precision agriculture, digitalisation of farm management, innovations in animal breeding, and modern approaches to forestry.
Representing FAT USB in the program were Dominik Smutný, Tomáš Zoubek, Veronika Čoudková, and Luboš Zábranský. They presented current research and practical applications of technology and opened discussions about the field's future direction.
The trade fair once again demonstrated the crucial role of digitalisation, automation, and sustainability in agriculture today. There was also a strong emphasis on integrating crop and livestock production and using smart systems in everyday practice. Visitors could also enjoy live demonstrations in the AGRI ARENA or visit the National Livestock Exhibition featuring approximately 600 animals.
