Faculty members participated in the international week at the Technical University of Moldova

With the aim of presenting the activities of the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology and establishing both current and future partnerships for Erasmus+ in the fields of pedagogy and science. Associate Professor Dr. Petr Konvalina and Dr. Trong Nghia Hoang made a visit within the framework of International Credit Mobility ERASMUS+ KA171 and the Erasmus+ Week programme from May 12 to May 16, 2025, at the Technical University of Moldova.

Throughout Erasmus+ Week, the scholars participated in exchanges and experience-sharing sessions, and committed to future international cooperation projects with the universities and institutes: Technical University of Moldova; Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești, Romania; SMK College of Applied Sciences, Lithuania;  “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy of Sibiu, Romania; University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Poland; Çankırı Karatekin University, Turkey, and University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Romania.

In addition, Associate Professor Petr Konvalina and Dr. Trong Nghia Hoang delivered presentations on the topics: “Crop production in organic farming - what is different from conventional farming?” and “Wheat quality and improving wheat quality in organic farming” to the faculty staff and students of the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences.

Following the presentations, they took a tour of the facilities, research labs, and greenhouses of the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences, and explored the cultural aspects of the land and people of Moldova.

As part of the next phase of the mobility program, in the fall, the two academic staff members of Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences will go to teach MFA students, and two PhD students from the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences will come to study at the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology for a short-term internship.

The outcome of the program marks another step forward in strengthening the international engagement of the faculty and opens new opportunities for students, young staff, and scholars in the fields of science, research, and knowledge exchange.
