Department of Technology and Cybernetics Prepared an Expert Programme on Precision Agriculture
The Department of Technology and Cybernetics at the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of the University of South Bohemia organised an expert programme for students from the Higher Vocational School and the Secondary Agricultural School in Tábor, as well as from HLBLA Sankt Florian in Austria. The programme focused on precision agriculture and the application of modern technologies in agricultural practice.
The programme's opening took place at AGROZET České Budějovice, a.s., where students became familiar with modern agricultural machinery used in precision farming. Special attention was given to application drones, which were introduced by Ing. Libor Matásek. The excursion was followed by expert lectures delivered by PhD students, focusing on smart technologies for animal and crop production. The participants also visited the robotics and machine vision laboratories, where they were briefed on the department’s equipment and research activities.
The final part of the programme featured demonstrations of unmanned systems for crop monitoring and for planning targeted interventions in crop stands. The event provided students with both theoretical and practical insights into the use of modern technologies in agriculture and introduced them to current trends in precision farming.
