Another strengthening of cooperation with BOKU University in Vienna

During the second week of February, we hosted a visitor from BOKU University of Vienna, namely Caroline Huber, Dipl.-Ing. B.Sc.

Caroline Huber is currently working on a doctoral thesis at the Institute for Agronomy under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Mag. DI Dr. Reinhard Neugschwandtner. Cereals, particularly different winter wheat varieties (Triticum aestivum) with release dates ranging over the last 150 years, are the main focus of her research project. Among the others, she investigates the efficiency of nitrogen uptake and nitrogen utilization to detect differences in yield and yield structures of old and new wheat varieties. In cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology (FAT), Department of Agroecosystems, she will develop the research topic and collaborate on the level of grain sample processing with the PhD students of the department. This promising connection will increase the current cooperation level between BOKU and the FAT.
