The Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (FAT USB) is a modern higher education and research institution with a history dating back to 1960. Its activities focus on agriculture, food production, agricultural technology, sustainable rural development, and the application of modern technologies in these fields.
The Faculty’s research covers areas such as precision agriculture, automation and robotics, sensor systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, advanced data processing methods, food quality and safety, and sustainable land management. An important part of its activities is cooperation with businesses, public institutions, and research organisations, as well as the transfer of research results into practice.
FAT USB also educates future professionals in agriculture, food production, and technology-related fields. Students have access to modern laboratories and technical facilities and can become involved in research projects, professional internships, and international study and work placements during their studies.
