On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the Department of Applied Chemistry at the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (FAT USB) hosted the regional round of the Chemistry Olympiad in Category B. The event was organized in cooperation with the House of Children and Youth České Budějovice.
The competition brought together the best high school chemistry students from the South Bohemian Region, who tested both their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in one of the most prestigious subject competitions. The Olympiad traditionally consisted of two parts – first, participants completed a demanding theoretical test, followed by practical tasks carried out in the faculty’s modern laboratories.
The event offered students not only the opportunity to verify their knowledge in practice but also to experience the environment of university laboratories and become more familiar with studying chemistry at FAT USB.
