The ERASMUS+ International Credit Mobility Programme KA171 Visit from the Technical University of Moldova

As part of the ERASMUS+ International Credit Mobility Programme (KA171), Assoc. Prof. Mihail Rurac and Dr. Grigorii Batiru from the Technical University of Moldova, Republic of Moldova, visited the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice from 24 to 28 November 2025.

During the one-week programme, the visiting scholars worked with the Faculty and the Department of Agrecosystems to identify concrete opportunities for deeper collaboration. Discussions focused on the development of joint research projects, educational programmes, and student and staff exchange initiatives, as well as the sharing of academic expertise and the commitment to further expand international cooperation between the two universities.

In addition to academic meetings, the scholars delivered insightful lectures and shared their experience in conservation agriculture and sustainable farming, highlighting achievements from Moldova and global developments in these fields.

Alongside their presentations, the guests were introduced to the Faculty’s ongoing research activities. They also visited the Faculty’s training and beer-production facilities, as well as research laboratories at the Department of Agroecosystems, the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology, and the Soil Laboratory of the Biology Centre, Czech Academy of Sciences.

The visit marked another important step in strengthening international engagement for students and staff, opening new opportunities in education, scientific research, and international partnership development.
