On 15 October, a practical demonstration focused on electromobility was held as part of the coursework for fourth-year students of the Agricultural Engineering and Technology programme. The students became acquainted with various types of electric vehicles, their operation, and the technical background of charging infrastructure.

Several models were presented — two Škoda Elroq cars provided by CB Auto a.s. České Budějovice with the participation of sales representative Ludvík Nedvěd, a Kia EV6 E.ON Drive, the Škoda Citigo-e iV service car from FFPW USB, several Tesla vehicles of different specifications, VW ID.7, VW e-Golf, the Chinese MG ZS EV, and the Maxus eDeliver3 van.

After an introductory theoretical lecture, students explored the individual models in detail — their purchase prices, utility properties, and operating costs. The participants then drove the electric vehicles to the E.ON Drive Infrastructure CZ charging hub near the Globus shopping centre, where company representative David Volejník offered them a look inside a high-performance 300 kW charging station.

The students thus gained insights not only into the construction and operation of electric vehicles, but also into charging technology and troubleshooting during recharging. The hands-on demonstration helped to dispel some common myths about electromobility and provided students with valuable practical knowledge.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to organising this engaging event for our students and look forward to future cooperation.
