Spring exhibition of Liva Předslavice, Ltd.

Students in their second and third years of bachelor's studies in Agri-business, Animal Science, Agriculture, and Agroecology participated in large numbers in an excursion to Předslavice near Volyně. There, in the picturesque premises of Liva Předslavice, Ltd., designed in the style of rural Baroque, they had the opportunity to gain practical insights into agricultural machinery as part of the annual spring exhibition organized by this major dealer of agricultural and municipal equipment. The company's director, Libor Jungvirt, personally welcomed the students with an opening speech. Sales representatives then eagerly guided the students and provided expert explanations for all the exhibited pieces of modern machinery.

Examples of the showcased equipment included the complete forage program from Krone, tractor technology from Case IH, Steyr, and Valtra, soil cultivation machines from Lemken and OPaLL AGRI, and handling equipment from Merlo. The excursion also included a visit to a museum of historical agricultural machinery.

Through practical excursions organized as part of specialized courses, the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology strives to connect theoretical knowledge gained in lectures with hands-on demonstrations in close collaboration with major companies in the region. This allows students to see the prospects of agriculture, even in contrast to the deep-rooted traditions of South Bohemia.
