On Monday, April 1, 2024, the new term of office of the dean doc. RNDr. Petr Bartoš, Ph.D. At its meeting on November 10, 2023, the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice elected him as a candidate for the position of dean by the whole number of votes of the senators present. The rector of the University of South Bohemia accepted the proposal, and, on January 30, 2024, appointed him dean of the FZT JU for the term of office 04/2024–03/2028.
Given that April 1 this year fell on the national holiday Easter Monday, the first meeting of the dean's college took place on April 2. During the meeting, the dean handed over the appointment decrees to the position of vice-deans:

- assistant professor at the Department of Plant Production
- Vice Dean for Student Affairs
- Dr. Ing. Jaromír Kadlec,
- assistant professor at the Department of Food Biotechnologies and Agricultural Product Quality
- Vice Dean for Science and Research
- doc. Ing. Jan Bárta, Ph.D.,
- head of the Department of Plant Production
- Vice Dean for Foreign Relations
- Ing. Mgr. Pavel Olšan, Ph.D.,
- assistant professor at the Department of Technology and Cybernetics
Vice-deans also become members of the dean's permanent advisory board, the so-called Dean's College. Other members of the dean's college are:
