From Idea to Field – TASTE in Action!

What happens when science, agriculture, and innovation come together? This was exactly the focus of our project meeting in South Bohemia. Together with the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology at the University of South Bohemia, the South Bohemian Science and Technology Park, the Potato Research Institute in Havlíčkův Brod, FH Upper Austria, Business Upper Austria, and other partners, we explored ways to make agriculture more resilient.
After inspiring discussions in the laboratory, we headed into the field. Soybeans grown as part of the TASTE project are a great example of how scientific knowledge can be put into practice. To conclude, we visited the Země živitelka agricultural fair – a place full of ideas for sustainable food production.
Our goal is to prepare the cross-border region of Upper Austria – South Bohemia – Vysočina for future soybean cultivation through innovations such as agrivoltaics and improved water management. Right here, a model of agriculture is emerging that will withstand the challenges of climate change.
