Donated farm animals at the School Farm

The Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice cooperates intensively with the business sector. The collaboration enables the faculty to engage in applied research with a significant benefit to society. Faculty students can also benefit from the cooperation, not only by participating in research but also by improving the quality of teaching. Practitioners are involved in the teaching, bringing up-to-date knowledge from the given issue, but companies also lend or donate state-of-the-art machines, equipment or farm animals.

As a result of the faculty's cooperation with the companies GMP s.r.o. from České Budějovice and Prima Agri PT a.s. from Prachatice is a sponsorship in the form of farm animals (two cows and one bull). This will improve the quality of teaching, especially in zootechnical fields, when students will practically become familiar with the care of these animals as part of the teaching. The cows and the bull are already housed in the Special-purpose facility – School farm – of the FAT USB and are receiving proper care.
