To improve the campus, the faculty respectively, cooperation was established with Jaroslav Řepa, an artist from České Budějovice, known under his artist name Jerry Beet. Jerry has been spray painting since 2017 and his graffiti can be seen in many locations in South Bohemia and in České Budějovice.
Jerry agreed to spray paint the façade of our experimental plots special purpose facility. This old building is situated at the entrance to the university campus and is therefore the first building to welcome visitors to the campus. The improvement of its appearance is therefore of vital importance. The artist created a graffiti painting depicting the fields of research and education of our faculty. The painting depicts motifs connected to farm animal breeding, plant production, techniques and technologies applied in agriculture and many others.
More about Jerry
Jaroslav Řepa, alias Jerry Beet was interested in painting since primary school. He graduated from Townshend International School in Hluboká and Vtavou where his gift was recognized. As their first student, he graduated from the talent determination test in 2002.
He seeks inspiration from German graffiti, especially from character painting.
Jerry has been spray painting since 2017. His paintings have appeared as custom paintings in seven railway stations in South Bohemia, on the walls of clubs, and companies and recently also on the Special Purpose Facility of the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of the University of South Bohemia. He has also contributed with his painting on the legal painting surfaces of České Budějovice. His paintings are posted on social networks under BEET1 or Jerry Beet.
