Looking back at the Open Day 2022

The Open Day is a long-standing tradition at the Faculty of Agriculture and this year was no exception. On 21 January 2022, we welcomed all those interested in studying in the building ZR, where the information centre was located. Here, students from each department gave information about the fields of study and opportunities offered by their departments. In addition to receiving detailed information on applications and the study programmes offered, students were able to see the faculty's facilities, laboratories and the cutting-edge technology at the faculty's disposal, such as a robotic arm for automated cattle milking, drones or geodetic and meteorological instruments, as well as demonstrations of artificial intelligence. Science and research were represented by chemical experiments, demonstrations of selected field crops, the evolution of insects over time, demonstrations of photosynthesis measurements and a multimedia botany classroom.

The current students not only introduced the future ones to university student life. They also provided them with detailed information about the degree programmes offered, the content of studies, admission requirements, graduates' practical employment, opportunities to go on internship abroad and the new things being prepared for the new academic year 2022/2023.

You can also find out about the wide range of degree programmes at www.zf.jcu.cz. And we look forward to seeing some of you choosing our faculty for your studies, as in previous years.
