International Meeting of the ERASMUS+ ETICOF Project at FZT JU
On June 17th and 18th, 2024, the Department of Agroecosystems at the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology hosted a meeting of the partners of the ERASMUS+ ETICOF project – Education, Training, and Innovations in Conversion to Organic Farming. Besides FAT USB, the project, initiated by Associate Professor Moudrý, includes the University of Applied Sciences in Erfurt (Germany), MATE Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (Hungary), Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Slovakia), and Thüringer Ökoherz e.V. (Germany). The main focus of the project is innovations in the conversion to organic farming, emphasizing knowledge transfer and the creation of educational materials, with the project set to run until 2026.
During the meeting, the partners participated in a project workshop at the Department of Agroecosystems and visited organic farms in South Bohemia. The data collected in the first year of the project served as the basis for a joint article, and part of the project meeting was dedicated to working on the draft of this publication and preparing for future project collaborations. The next meeting of the ERASMUS+ ETICOF project will take place in the spring of 2025 in Gödöllö, Hungary. Before that, some consortium members will meet at the regular annual ENOAT (European Network of Organic Agriculture Teachers) meeting, which will be held at the end of August in Helsinki.
